Medical Oncology

During your sarcoma treatment, it is possible that you receive follow-up care at the medical oncology clinic. The medical oncologist is a doctor specialized in administering medical treatment to patients with sarcomas. These treatments can include administering chemotherapy, targeted treatments, and immunotherapy. During these follow-ups, you may need to undergo blood tests or imaging. The administration of intravenous chemotherapy (through the veins) takes place in the chemotherapy treatment room.

During your treatment, you will also be followed by a case manager who is your resource person for any medical questions.
